DRIVER CHARGED AFTER ROAD RAGE EVENT ON CACHE ST.

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – Police arrested and charged one person after a report of a road rage incident.

On June 2, 2024, shortly before 1:30 p.m., Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Cache Street, West Nipissing.

It was reported that two vehicles had been involved in a road rage incident on Highway 17 and pulled onto Cache Street and stop. One driver exited the vehicle and damaged the rear window, while uttering a threat to harm the other driver.

As a result of the investigation, Robert GROOMS, 46-years-of-age, from Walden, was arrested and charged with, mischief under $ 5,000 and uttering threats.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on July 4, 2024.
