(CARTIER, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal snowmobile collision.

On January 13, 2024, shortly before 5:00 p.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) OPP and the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Paramedic Services responded to a single Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) collision on trail C111D, about six kilometres from the town of Cartier.

A 51-year-old person, from Dowling, was transported to the local hospital by ambulance, who later that evening succumbed to their injuries.
