West Nipissing Ouest – Sturgeon Falls, Verner, St Charles, Field and Area News (WEST NIPISSING, ON) – One person has been charged with drug related offences after being arrested for an outstanding warrant.
On June 12, 2023, shortly before 11:00 a.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol on Ottawa Street, West Nipissing.
Police arrested an individual on an E-Bike, who had an outstanding arrest warrant.
A search of the person located, Canadian currency and drugs suspected to be methamphetamine.
As a result of the investigation, Andy HURTUBISE, 41 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – methamphetamine
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 3, 2023, in North Bay.
