2SLGBTQI+ Community Capacity Fund Launched!

Today, Marc G. Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages is sharing that a call for proposals
for the 2SLGBTQI+ Community Capacity Fund has been launched.

The fund aims to address the main priority of sustainable capacity funding for 2SLGBTQI+ organizations who work to end discrimination, violence, and barriers faced by the community. With the support of capacity funding, these organizations will promote inclusion and increase safety for 2 spirit, queer, and trans people in Canada.

This fund forms part of the Budget 2022, which commits $100 million over five years to develop and implement an Action Plan to benefit 2SLGBTQI+ people.

Successful projects will aim to start no earlier than October 2023 and must end by March 31, 2026.

The deadline for completed applications is May 9, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be assessed.
