West Nipissing Ouest – Sturgeon Falls, Verner, St Charles, Field and Area News (WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On October 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a person for a previous robbery report on Queen Street, West Nipissing.
On October 9, 2022, police responded to a robbery on Queen Street. Several people had been approached by an unknown person who utter threats to harm them and took personal property, then left prior to police arriving.
No person had been injured during the occurrence.
As a result of the investigation, Haedyn FRY, 22-years-of-age, from North Bay, was arrested and charged with:
Robbery with Theft, contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CC (three counts)
The accused is being held in custody for bail court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 11, 2022, in North Bay.
