(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On April 20, 2022, members from the Nipissing West Detachment and Community Street Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Demers Street, West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls).
A search of the residence and a vehicle led to the seizure of cellphones, Canadian currency, drugs suspected to be: fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. The value of the drugs seized is believed to be approximately $120,000.
As a result of the investigation:
Mario FALARDEAU 46-years-of-age from West Nipissing was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs Substance Act (CDSA)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 2, 2022, in West Nipissing.
Sheldon GOULBOURNE 22-years-of-age from Scarborough was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
The accused was held for bail court, then released on a court order and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, 2022, in West Nipissing.
Nikolette LEAL 26-years-of-age from Toronto was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC

Takym MARTIN-MCINTOSH 22-years-of-age from Newmarket was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC
The accused was held for bail court, then released on a court order and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, 2022, in West Nipissing.
Maranda SWAIN 26-years-of-age from West Nipissing was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC
The accused was held for bail court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, 2021, in West Nipissing.
