POLICE CAR AND SIGNS SPRAY PAINTED

(MATTAWA, ON) – On October 5, 2020, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers from the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed that a police car parked behind the Mattawa Detachment had been spray painted with orange paint.

Upon further investigation, officers observed two other vehicles parked behind the Mattawa Detachment had also been painted.

Officers observed signs around the Town of Mattawa and Mattawan Township that were also covered in graffiti. Written on the signs were: OPP DIE and OPP PIGS.
