DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED IN WEST NIPISSING

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On July 20, 2020 at approximately 9:30 p.m., members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Nipissing West Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Front Street in the Municipality of West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls).

Officers seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cannabis Shake, drug paraphernalia and over $1000 in Canadian currency. The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $4,800.

As a result of the investigation, two people from Sturgeon Falls were arrested and charged.

Chad DELONGCHAMP, age 36, was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA;
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC); and
Alter the Chemical or Physical Properties of Cannabis by the Use of an Organic Solvent, contrary to section 12(1)(b) of the Cannabis Act.

Kevin BOYLE, age 43, was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA;
Alter the Chemical or Physical Properties of Cannabis by the Use of an Organic Solvent, contrary to section 12(1)(b) of the Cannabis Act; and
Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.

Both accused remain in custody and are schedule to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Bail Court (video conferencing) on July 21, 2020 in North Bay.
