OPP INVESTIGATING SHOPLIFTING INCIDENT –
SEEKING PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE TO IDENTIFY A PERSON OF INTEREST
(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance with a shoplifting investigation.
On December 18, 2019, officers received a report of a theft, which occurred on November 27, 2019, from the Canadian Tire store on Highway 17 in West Nipissing.
Video surveillance footage was obtained and investigation revealed, the culprit stole a battery booster pack and two pairs of gloves with a total estimated value of $250.
The person of interest is described as: white male with facial hair, wearing a blue winter jacket with faux fur hood, grey ball cap with black logo on front and black brim with a foil sticker, dark pants, brown winter boots-similar to Sorel, with Sherpa pile snow cuff and black wraparound rubber lower. The male is seen putting a cigarette in his mouth as he exiting the store.
The OPP is requesting assistance in identifying the person of interest in the attached photos, which were captured by the store’s surveillance cameras.
