Methamphetamine and Oxycodone Bust in Cache Bay

On January 3, 2020 at 9:15 p.m., members from the North East Region (NER) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Canine (K9) Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Cache Bay, Ontario.

Officers seized a quantity of drugs, suspected to be Crystal Methamphetamine, Oxycodone (Percocet) and Methamphetamine (speed), along with a quantity of Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation, Pierre SAVAGE, age 46, from Cache Bay, was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs (two counts), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA); and
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code (CC);

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sturgeon Falls on February 6, 2020.
