(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On July 18, 2019 at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers from the West Nipissing Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of suspicious persons in the vicinity of the Minnehaha Bay Marina in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario.
Upon arrival, officers found the restaurant had been broken into and observed two suspects running away from the scene. Officers were able to apprehend one suspect. The OPP Canine (K9) Unit assisted in the search of the second suspect.
As a result of OPP investigation, Dylan Hunter LEE, 19 years of age from Sturgeon Falls, Ontario has been charged with:
- Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC); and
- Mischief-Destroys or Damages Property, contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the CC
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario on September 5, 2019.
Meanwhile, investigation revealed the identity of the second suspect and an arrest Warrant is being sought.
