OPP charge more people with Methamphetamine Trafficking

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On June 24, 2019, the Nipissing West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the North East Region (NER) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a warrant at a residence in the Municipality of West Nipissing, Ontario.

Officers seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be methamphetamine. The street value of the drugs is approximately $3,500.

As a result of the investigation 46-year-old Pierre SAVAGE from West Nipissing, Ontario, has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in West Nipissing, on August 1, 2019.

On June 25, 2019, the Nipissing West detachment of the OPP and the NER CSCU executed a warrant at a residence in the Municipality of West Nipissing, Ontario.

Officers seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be fentanyl and methamphetamine as well as approximately $1,000 of Canadian Currency.

The street value of the drugs is approximately $1,600.

As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Jordana LARMAND from West Nipissing, Ontario, has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine – two counts, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA;
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).; and
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Jesse LEBLANC, 37-years-old from West Nipissing, Ontario, has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine – two counts, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA;
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, contrary to section 355(b) of the CC; and
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA.

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in West Nipissing, on August 1, 2019
