Men Brandishing Knives Allegedly Rob Man

On January 14 the West Nipissing Police Service responded to a complaint of assault. Upon speaking with the victim police learned that her boyfriend became upset when a friend attended the residence with treats, and when there were none for him he became upset and an argument ensued. The man then threw the victim to the floor, struck her and made threatening comments to her. Friends at the residence intervened and the victim left. Police arrested the 33 year old man he now faces charges of assault, uttering threats and failing to comply with a Probation Order.

On January 14 West Nipissing Police received a complaint from a man indicated he had been robbed. The man explained he attended a John Street residence looking for someone. He was allowed into the residence at which time a group of men brandishing knives demanded his money. The complainant alleges that he threw money of the floor and ran out and that one of the men ripped his coat off of him. The victim is also alleging that his prescription medication was stolen at the time. The investigation is ongoing.

On January 16, police received a complaint of theft at the local LCBO. Police learned that a man entered the store took a bottle of alcohol and left without paying. Surveillance footage assisted police in identifying a suspect. Later in the afternoon police located and arrested 20 year old Kirill Loginov. He now faces charges of theft under $5000, Breach of Probation and resisting arrest.
