On November 12, the West Nipissing Police Service received a complaint from an Ethel street residence that someone was entering unattended vehicles. Police attended the location and arrested 24 year old, Chelsea Bureau. She now faces charges of Trespass at Night, fail to comply with conditions of undertaking and 4 counts of theft under $5000.
On November 13, police received a call from a motorist driving along LaPlage road. Police learned that a moose had been shot and pieces left behind. The West Nipissing Police Service and the Ministry of Natural Resources are investigating the matter. Anyone with information about the killing of a moose in that area is asked to report it to authorities.
On November 15, police were called to a local high school regarding a complaint of a student with a knife. Police attended the school however the suspect had fled the area. Police have learned that a young male attended the school, while brandishing a knife he shouted out at another student threatening to cause him harm. The investigation is ongoing.
