MP Serré seeking nominations for Community Volunteer Recognition Awards in Nickel Belt

September 5, 2018

NICKEL BELT-GREATER SUDBURY – In recognition of the amazing work that is being done by volunteers throughout the riding, Nickel Belt MP Marc Serré will be awarding Community Volunteer Recognition Pins to 20 Nickel Belt-Greater Sudbury residents to highlight their outstanding contributions to our community through volunteerism.

Building upon last year’s success with the Canada Sesquicentennial Pin Awards, MP Serré felt compelled to highlight the many selfless acts that all too often go unrecognized and make it an annual event. Serré invites constituents to nominate a friend, family member, neighbor or colleague of any age who has gone above and beyond to make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family.

“This is a grass roots initiative to acknowledge individuals who have put selflessness before self. I feel it is important to highlight the good that is being done right here in Nickel Belt and I need your help. Send your nominations and help me recognize the ongoing efforts of volunteers in our community. This is one small way we can celebrate the many accomplishments of residents in Nickel Belt-Greater Sudbury,” said Serré.

Nominations should detail in 150 words or less why you feel the candidate is deserving of this award. Please include the name, address, phone number and e-mail address of the nominator and nominee.

For more information, please visit www.marcserre.ca, e-mail marc.serre.c1a@parl.gc.ca or call 1-800-267-4829.
