West Nipissing Police Service investigate recent domestic disturbance and theft

The West Nipissing Police Service is investigating the theft of a small motorcycle. A Drive In Road resident contacted the police to report the GIO 125cc, black and white dirt bike valued at approximately $500 was stolen from her property. The investigation is ongoing.

A Quesnel Road resident contacted the police to report that his vehicle had been entered and personal items had been stolen. The victim had, a GPS, personal documents and prescription sunglasses stolen. Police urge people to lock their vehicles when they are left unattended.

A William Street resident called police to report a break and enter. Police learned that an air conditioning unit was removed from a window and the culprit gain access to the residence by entering through the window. The investigation is ongoing

Police are investigating a domestic disturbance that occurred August 26th. Police learned that he victim was at his home when his ex-girlfriend attended and entered his home uninvited. The victim tried to remove the woman from his residence but was assaulted while trying to do so. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Police would like to advise that local school buses will be out on the streets beginning August 29th and motorist should be ready to stop when required. All drivers operating motor vehicles must stop their vehicles when school bus slashing lights and stop arms are activated.
