The West Nipissing Police are investigating a theft of a Samsung Tablet after receiving a complaint from a local resident. Police learned that the electronic device had been left at a friend’s residence and when the owner returned to retrieve the item it could not be located. With the assistance of a local pawn store employee police recovered the item which was later returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, more and more residents are opening their windows and screen doors to let in the fresh air. The police want to remind property owners to be courteous and mindful when playing music or having small gatherings as the noise barriers that were in place throughout the winter have in some cases been removed. Voices, music or loud noises may end up disturbing your neighbor and may result in a visit from the police. Police have received a number of these complaints recently.
The Police are investigating he theft of a BMX bike. The Aluminum color We the People Arcade bicycle was stolen from a Waterfront Street, residence in Cache Bay. The bike is valued at over $800 and was recently purchased for a youth. There is a red and black seat and foot begs on the bike.
On May 7th the West Nipissing Police Service received a complaint of a break and enter from a Lac Clair road resident. Police have learned that an outbuilding was entered and the culprits made off with a water pump, a small dirt bike and frozen foods. The investigation is ongoing.
