Sturgeon Falls Home Invasion

At approximately 4:00am April 27 th the West Nipissing Police Service responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a John Street residence in Sturgeon Falls. Police attended the residence and began their investigation at which time officers discovered that one resident had been attacked in his home.

Police learned that three men entered the victim’s home and threatened him with a gun. While confronting the victim the assailants demanded money and drugs. When the victim did not comply with the demands he was assaulted. The perpetrators fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Police arrested one suspect near the scene and the search for the other two continued throughout the morning. Two other men were arrested prior to 9:00 am and all three are being held in custody in connection with the home invasion.

The victim was transported to the West Nipissing General Hospital and is being treated for serious but not life threatening injuries.
