We’re ice fishing on Lake Nipissing not far from where the lake pours into the French River and fishing as been awesome this year.
LOVE LAKE NIPISSING every season is so different.

Dyan, you raise in interesting question. I’m not sure if you’re referring specifically to downtown streets or streets in general. I would agree with you that even the small banks left on downtown sidewalks may be a bit of an issue.

I remember before the big sewer overhaul in Sturgeon when the plows could clean all the way including the sidewalks. Eliminated the banks that are now left behind and having to use the sidewalk cleaners. Renting trucks to haul the snow banks away that are now reaching as high as houses. I realize that drainage is important but I sure liked it better the old way. Any chance of it getting back to the way it way?

Well, I have a RAVE!! Tonight I set my fire alarm off with a chimney fire. Good news is that I got it under control quickly, better news was the AMAZINGLY fast response time of the West Nipissing Ouest Fire Service. They came and did a great job of making sure everything was fine. Even showed me where I could make an improvement in my chimney system that I was unaware of. Thanks Guys for the very quick response and professionalism. Much appreciated by this WNO resident!
