My opinion……
I find it was very very stupid that they posted the names everywhere…. they should only release names when the person has been charged…
Actually Natalie, we agree…which is why we chose NOT to publish the names here on WNO. We feel that, much like the weekly police reports which also don’t include names, justice should be meted out in a courtroom…NOT in the media or in the arena of public opinion. If and when individuals are found guilty in a court of law, then we will publish names.
Have there been any names released? If so where would they be posted?
La tribune has published them as they are available to the public.
Why is there a West Nipissing Police logo beside this article? It is clearly thanks to o.p.p. Intelligence. Just because it happens in West Nipissing doesn’t mean anything. I can’t wait to see the o.p.p. Police this town and we can have more drug results like those in Mattawa. Nothing wrong with our officers. But I think we are mislead as to how adequate this service truly is or isn’t.
Hey Joe, thanks for taking the time to leave us a comment. We chose the WNPS logo simply because, while this was a joint investigation between OPP and WNPS, most warrants were served within WNPS jurisdiction. But we definitely see your point.
