Justin Trudeau, prominent Liberal MP for the riding of Papineau – Montreal since 2008 and son of former Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau, will be in North Bay on Thursday, May 31st to meet with Nipissing-Timiskaming and Nickel Belt liberal members and supporters. Mr. Trudeau will be visiting several local venues in the city before attending a lunch at the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park and a cocktail fundraiser from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Best Western North Bay Hotel and Conference Centre.
“We are pleased that Justin Trudeau is taking time out from his hectic schedule to visit with us”, stated Bill Hagborg, Nipissing-Timiskaming Federal Liberal Association President.
“Both local ridings truly appreciate Justin’s participation as our special guest in support of two fundraising events”, he added.
This will be the second visit to the city by a prominent Liberal MP in just over a month. Interim Leader, Bob Rae, met with local Liberals on April 18th and 19th.
